2012 Anti-Football Rallye on New Years Day in Marin County. Cars are supposed to be 25 years or older, but the rule is relaxed.
Rallye begins in Sausaltio at Casa Madrona.
Sunny weather brought out higher quality cars like this silver Ferrari 512 BB and more of them (around 160 cars!) They were triple-parked along the street at the start of the rallye.
The usual big turnout of Alfas.
The wide assortment of cars makes it interesting.
Jaguar E-types may have been the single most popular model there.
Do you see RED? A red VW GTI, Ferrari 360, Porsche 911, and a Mini.
Hard to believe, but '80's Japanese cars now qualify for the 25 year-old rule. Note the CRX across from my MR2.
My original-owner Supercharged Toyota MR2 got some looks, too.
A Czech Tatra is a big hit.
This VW bus looks picture postcard perfect parked in front of this Sausalito home.
Gary Anderson, Editor of Mercedes Club of America Star Magazine, checks out this Alfa.
We gather in front of Casa Madrona for the driver's meeting.
Event Host Martin Swig welcomes everyone and asks us to "stay on the road".
And then it's off to drive the backroads of Marin, as this owner of a Lamborghini Muira is about to do.
Winding our way to the coast.
Heading along the scenic and twisty coastal highway.
